Terms of Service

By accessing or using ProvVid ("the Service"), available at provvid.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ProvVid. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

ProvVid is a browser-based platform that provides:

• Blockchain-verified video recording with live timestamp overlays
• Secure cloud storage for recorded video evidence
• Sharing via unique URLs for controlled distribution of recordings
• Verification reports that document the integrity and provenance of each recording

The Service is designed for real-time video recording directly through your browser. All recordings are created live and cannot be replaced with pre-recorded content.

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account using email authentication. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and current information during registration
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

Each individual may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts may result in suspension or termination of all associated accounts.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Record, store, or share illegal content of any kind
• Upload pre-recorded video files — the Service is designed exclusively for real-time recording
• Abuse, manipulate, or misuse sharing links
• Access the Service through automated means (bots, scrapers, or similar tools) without prior written permission
• Attempt to circumvent any security features or verification mechanisms
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Impersonate another person or entity

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

ProvVid offers the following plans:

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. ProvVid does not store your payment card information.

Refund Policy: One-time purchases (Pro) are eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase if no recordings have been made using Pro features. Subscription payments (Pro+) can be cancelled at any time; you will retain access until the end of your current billing period. No partial-month refunds are provided for subscriptions.

Video retention periods are determined by your subscription plan. When your retention period expires, videos are automatically deleted from our servers.

• Free tier: Videos are retained for 7 days from the date of recording
• Pro tier: Videos are retained for 2 years from the date of recording
• Pro+ tier: Videos are retained indefinitely while your subscription is active

Storage limits: When your storage quota is full, you will not be able to create new recordings until existing recordings are deleted or you upgrade your plan.

Subscription lapse: If your Pro+ subscription lapses, you will have a 30-day grace period to renew. After the grace period, your account will revert to Free tier retention policies, and videos exceeding the 7-day retention window will be scheduled for deletion. We strongly recommend exporting important recordings before your subscription expires.

Your content: You retain full ownership of all video content you record through the Service. By using the Service, you grant ProvVid a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, transcode, and serve your video content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Our platform: ProvVid owns all rights to the platform, its user interface, verification technology, and related intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

• Verification references the Bitcoin blockchain to provide timestamp and integrity proof, but does not constitute legal certification
• Court admissibility of blockchain-verified evidence depends on your jurisdiction and the specific legal context
• Hash verification proves that a recording has not been tampered with since creation — it does not verify the truthfulness or accuracy of the recorded content
• ProvVid does not provide legal advice regarding the use of recordings as evidence

We recommend consulting with a legal professional in your jurisdiction to understand how blockchain-verified recordings may be used in legal proceedings.

The Service allows you to share recordings via unique URLs. By sharing a recording, you acknowledge that:

• You are solely responsible for the content you share and who you share it with
• Share link recipients can view the recording but cannot download it unless you explicitly enable downloading
• ProvVid may disable sharing links that are found to violate these Terms or applicable law
• Shared links may be revoked by you at any time through your dashboard settings

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Key points:

• GDPR compliance: For users in the European Union, we comply with applicable data protection regulations including the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data
• Data export: You can export your data at any time through your account settings
• Account deletion: You can delete your account and associated data through your account settings

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

ProvVid shall not be liable for:

• Any interruption, delay, or unavailability of the Service due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control
• Evidence or recordings that are rejected, challenged, or deemed inadmissible by any court or legal authority
• Loss of data beyond what is reasonably preventable through standard industry practices
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ProvVid's total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

By ProvVid: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users or the integrity of the Service.

By you: You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

Effect of termination: Upon account termination or deletion, you will have a 30-day window to export your data. After this window, all associated recordings and data will be permanently deleted from our servers.

ProvVid reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• We will notify registered users via email
• Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law.
